Power Washing FAQ
Looking for answers about professional exterior cleaning? This power washing FAQ covers everything you need to know before your service, from how to prepare your home to what to expect on cleaning day.
At Shane’s Pristine Powerwash, we believe clear communication leads to better results. Below are the most common questions we receive from homeowners in and around Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, and Stafford, VA.
How should I prepare for power washing?
Please move all vehicles out of the driveway and ensure our team has clear access to the areas being cleaned. This helps us complete your service efficiently and safely.
Do I need to provide water?
Yes, we use your home’s water supply during the cleaning process. Please make sure your outdoor water spigots are turned on and accessible before our arrival.
When should I pay for my service?
Payment should be made after the job is completed and you’ve had a chance to inspect the work. We recommend walking around your home to ensure everything meets your expectations before paying.
What payment methods do you accept?
We ask that you do not pay in cash. You can provide a check made out to Pristine Powerwash and hand it directly to the technician after the job is complete.
What if something was missed?
Our team is thorough, but if anything is missed, please let us know while we’re still on site. We’re happy to address it immediately.
Do I need to move outdoor furniture?
Yes. Please remove any portable items from decks, patios, and porches before your service to avoid additional moving fees.
What if I need to reschedule?
We understand that things come up. If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours notice whenever possible so we can adjust our schedule.
Will you still work if it rains?
Yes, light rain does not typically affect our services. However, we will reschedule in the event of thunderstorms or unsafe weather conditions.
What does soft washing remove?
Our soft washing process removes mold, mildew, algae, dirt, fungus, and pollen from your home’s exterior. Some stains, such as oxidation, may require additional services.
Do I need to close windows and doors?
Yes. Please ensure all windows and doors are tightly closed and sealed before your service. While we use low-pressure methods, water can enter if seals are compromised.
